Transparency & Precision.

We utilize a minimal set of technical cookies to ensure the Cognita platform functions with the efficiency you expect from an executive advisory hub. This policy outlines exactly what we track, why we track it, and how you remain in control.

Effective Date: October 2026

Security Mechanism

The Philosophy

Unlike broad marketing platforms, Cognita.FR does not employ tracking pixels, behavioral advertising, or social media widgets. Our infrastructure is designed for security and speed, not data harvesting.

Strictly Necessary

Essential for navigation and security. These cannot be disabled as they power the core infrastructure.

1

Session Management

We set a single session cookie (PHPSESSID) to maintain your secure connection while browsing our services. This cookie contains no personal data and is deleted automatically when you close your browser. It is the cryptographic equivalent of holding the door open while you move between rooms.

2

Preference Memory

A lightweight preference cookie (cognita_pref) is used to remember your cookie consent choice. This ensures we do not ask you to make this decision on every page load.

"Efficiency is the foundation of intelligence. We respect your time by only asking for what is functionally required."

3

Security & Analytics (Anonymized)

We analyze server logs to detect potential security threats (e.g., DDoS attempts) and to understand aggregate traffic patterns (e.g., which whitepapers are downloaded most). This data is anonymized, aggregated, and cannot be used to identify a specific individual or device.

Evidence & Assumptions

Assumptions

We assume that executive users value privacy and speed over personalized content recommendations. Therefore, we exclude third-party scripts that slow down page loads or share data with ad networks.

Constraints

Server logs are retained for a maximum of 30 days to comply with GDPR storage limitation principles. No IP addresses are stored permanently.

What Would Change Our View?

If we introduced a personalized learning path feature within the Academy, we might employ strictly functional cookies to track progress between sessions. This would require a separate, explicit opt-in.

The Trade-Off Matrix

Optimization

  • Load Speed: Zero external trackers means sub-second page loads, crucial for high-bandwidth executives.
  • Trust: No hidden data sharing. You know exactly where your data goes.
  • Compliance: Meets strict EU GDPR standards by default.

Sacrifice

  • Granular Analytics: We cannot track user journeys across the site to identify drop-off points.
  • Personalization: We do not "remember" your interests to show you specific courses on return.
  • Retargeting: You will not see Cognita ads on other sites after visiting ours.
This lens applies to all pages on cognita.fr, including Services, Academy, and Case Studies.

"We use only the essential session token to maintain security, a single preference cookie for your consent choice, and anonymized server logs. No tracking pixels. No third-party sharing. No behavioral profiling. We trade deep data profiling for speed, security, and your trust."

Your Control & Contact

While our technical cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function, you retain full control over your browser settings. You may clear cookies at any time or configure your browser to block them; however, doing so may impair the security features of the platform.

For questions regarding this policy, data processing, or to request deletion of server log data (where feasible), please contact our Data Protection Officer.
